I've taught:

  •   public speaking, personal communication, and business communication at several colleges.
  •  workshops in songwriting and music business in cities across the US and Canada
  • merit badge classes for Boy Scouts of America Troop One, Brentwood, TN

The most important speaking I do is on behalf of our environment. We all need to become science-minded enough to understand the changes going on in technology and the universe in which we live. Everything we do has an impact on the planet and every living thing.

For Christians, it's important to be glad for our responsibility to care for creation. That responsibility is biblical, and it's even more apparent in the current era. That's the central message of my book JWR: Jesus Would Recycle, and I speak on the book and related topics at churches, colleges, and Bible study groups.

My notable speaking engagements include:

  • Ghandi-King Peacemaking Conference (ecology and global peace)
  • Eastern Mennonite University (green Christianity)
  •  Oklahoma State University (music careers/songwriting)
  •  Middle Tennessee State University (television advertising)
  • Art Institute of TN-Nashville (maximizing classroom communication)
  • Trevecca Nazarene University (music publishing)
It's my great pleasure to offer teaching in Native American culture, crafts, spirituality, and ceremony. As the descendant of four Indian women who married first or second generation Europeans, I'm proud to say these are my people.
