 Joe & the Jam features the new generation of premier players from the critically acclaimed OSU Jazz Orchestra.

Avery Johnson, electric and double bass, from Porter, OK, has played shows in bands large and small throughout the mid-south, in multiple genres from bluegrass and jazz, to funk, Latin, and rock.

Cade Crone, drums, from Tulsa, has played and recorded in various genres and major venues from Tulsa to New Orleans. He has performed with notable artists including Kenny Werner, Terell Stafford, John Fedchock, and Eddie Wakes.

Eric Eppstein, guitars, is a native Texan who has traveled extensively, performing with the likes of Kenny Werner, Joel Frahm, Eddie Wakes, and Terrell Stafford. He has studied with Jonathon Kreisberg, Randy Napoleon, and Canadian star Jocelyn Gould.

Joe Johnston, keys, is a Tulsa native who played the legendary Rubiot with Sonny Gray and Modern Jazz Quartet. He has composed, played, produced, and recorded with LeAnn Rimes, The Dixie Chicks, Glen Campbell, Vince Gill, Restless Heart, Alabama, and Charlie Daniels. He’s a songwriter with Number One, Grammy, and Dove Award credits, and music featured in multiple movies and TV.
